Making pasta
Bari Italy

Bari - The old town is the capital of Puglia. It is a bustling, well-known port and university city and is located on the Adriatic Sea. You will find great architecture, stunning churches, a wonderful seaside promenade and a very interesting historic center. On May 9th, 1087, the relics of St. Nicholas (who was the inspiration for Santa Claus), was laid to rest in Bari Vecchia (old town) in the Basilica of St Nicholas  - thanks to sixty sailors who had stolen them from a church in Myra! Bari Vecchia has narrow, winding streets, a castle, numerous bars and restaurants where you have the opportunity to taste the incredible ‘cucina povera’ dishes such as; riso, patate e cozze (layering of baked rice, potatoes and mussels), panzerotti (deep-fried pastries stuffed with cheese and tomato), focaccia (that is incredible!), orecchiette (hand-made 'little ears' pasta), served with an inventive array of sauces and THE most incredible ice creams and sorbets

To eat, we recommend:
