The Zia Silvia:

Silvia is the eldest child. Her cooking is legendary! She not only cooks for the family but for restaurants and parties too! She is the one we go to for the orecchiette (handmade little ‘ears’ of pasta), pasta al forno, parmigiana, patate, cozze e riso – key Barese dishes. Every summer she would teach my brother, sisters and me to make the orecchiette. We would sit outside in the old cobbled, narrow street, with all the other ‘mammas,’ making the fresh pasta. The right knife, the wooden board, the laughs then the eating! She is still going strong and sharing her knowledge and stories! She would love her gift box.

We use only the highest quality ingredients and adhere to the "organic" certification and have had the "bio" or "organic" certification since 2017.This certification is for our rich and fertile soil. It includes the cultivation of grapes, olives, vegetables, fruits and melons, roots and tubers.

The food grown and processed on the Terre Di San Vito land uses no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Our pesticides are derived from natural sources (such as biological pesticides).
