Chilled peaches in wine
Chilled peaches in wine (serves 4)
A dish loved by all Italians!❤️
Not only is this a delicious and refreshing end to a meal, it is so easy to prepare - you and your guests are going to love it. It can also be served in two ways – with white or red wine!
4 peaches or nectarines – sliced
2 tablespoons of sugar
Red or white Terre Di San Vito wine – enough to cover the peaches!
Preparing the dish:
Wash the peaches, cut them in to slices and place in a bowl.
Sprinkle the sugar over the peaches.
Pour in the wine – enough to cover the peaches.
Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge for 2 hours – if you can wait, 4 hours!
Serve chilled in glasses.
Either peaches or nectarines can be used
Red or white wine – I can’t decide which one is my favourite!
After eating the peaches – drink the wine!
