The Story of Apeneste
Apeneste is inspired by the ancient history of Polignano.
The name comes from the ancient Greek Apeneste or Apameste, meaning “I rise” or “I am born” — a reference to the Greek origins of the area.
Polignano has a long and fascinating history shaped by different cultures and its important position on the Adriatic coast. When cultivating our land, we discovered ancient fishing spears and forks.
Inspired by this history, our Uncle Franco chose Apeneste for our white wine. The label reflects the many cultures and influences that have shaped Puglia.
