Lama Monachile Beach

Lama Monachile Beach

Via S. Vito, 70044 Polignano a Mare BA, Italy
The most photographed spot on the Bari coast.
The small public beach at Lama Monachile is also called Cala Porto.
It's named for the Roman-era bridge that overhangs it and is nestled between coves and cliffs with a sheer drop into the sea – used for the yearly Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series where elite divers as well as young up-and-coming talent wow the crowds with their breath-taking free-falls from up to 27m.
The characteristic shape of the cliffs and cove, makes this one of the best beaches in Puglia. Not only is it famous for its charm but also because this beautiful bay with white, rounded pebbles – gives an amazing, clear, turquoise, and pristine sea and every year receives the national blue flag - a perfect little beach with an incredibly clear sea.
